'Synology Drive introduced an unprecedented level of flexibility and control to our everyday file access. A single set of files can be retrieved via mapped network drive, sync client, web portal or mobile app. Most of the employees are in and out of the office all the time, yet they can rest assured that their data is accessible and up to date. The Mac Mini downloads a copy to its Photos Library; The Synology app copies the photo into its backup; I’ve configured the Mac Mini and Synology to wake up for a few hours every day to do this and so far it’s working really well. Mac mini; External 2TB hard drive; Synology 4-bay NAS; Synology Drive client. Since the update of the Drive Server package to 2.0.2 11076, my Mac client syncs ALL files (4 tasks, 60.000+ files) EVERY time when starting the desktop app (after reboot or after manual quit/start). The behaviour started directly after updating the server package. The desktop app was not changed / is the same version 2.0.2-11076. Installing Synology Drive: Synology Playlist: Synology.
